The Calgary Flames have re-signed backup goaltender Karri Ramo to a one-year, $3.8 million deal, sources told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun. The 29-year-old Finnish netminder played 34 games this past season for Calgary, posting a 15-9-3 record, a .917 save percentage and a 2.60 goals-against average. It was initially believed that Ramo may test the free-agent market, but he chose to remain with the Flames, who were active in seeking a trade for a goaltender during draft weekend. Ramo split time with Jonas Hiller this past season, as the Flames made a surprising run to the playoffs. The Flames have already been active in improving their team this offseason, acquiring restricted free-agent defenseman Dougie Hamilton from the Boston Bruins last Friday at the draft. The Flames signed Hamilton to a six-year deal worth $34.5 million Tuesday.
