Canadiens re-sign Brian Flynn

The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed checking forward Brian Flynn to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The length of the deal isn't known, but a source told ESPN.com that Flynn will make an average annual salary of $950,000.

Flynn, 26, had five goals and 12 assists in 63 regular-season games for the Canadiens last season.

"We're very pleased to have reached an agreement with Brian," general manager Marc Bergevin said in a statement. "A fast, versatile and reliable player, Brian bought into the team's philosophy from the very first day. He brings the right attitude to the dressing room day in and day out, and has a professional approach to the game."
