Montreal G Price wins Lindsay Award as players' top player

LAS VEGAS -- Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price has won the Ted Lindsay Award, chosen as the NHL's most outstanding player by his fellow players.

Price accepted the trophy to open the NHL Awards show in Las Vegas on Wednesday night.

Price also is a candidate for the Hart Trophy as the league's most valuable player, and the Vezina Trophy as the top goalie.

Price set a franchise record and led the league with 44 wins in the regular season, posting a 1.96 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage. No goalie had led the NHL in victories, GAA and save percentage since Chicago's Ed Belfour in 1991.
