CHICAGO -- The Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks will play Game 2 of their Western Conference second-round Stanley Cup playoff series Sunday at United Center, and both coaches have some lineup decisions to make based on injuries. Wild forward Justin Fontaine will miss Game 2 after suffering a lower-body injury during Minnesota's 4-3 loss in Game 1. Wild coach Mike Yeo said Fontaine was being evaluated Saturday by the team doctors. "It's one of these things that could be day-to-day or it might be a week. I'm not sure," Yeo said. Without Fontaine, Yeo said he has some options, including Erik Haula, Ryan Carter, Sean Bergenheim or Jordan Schroeder. Neither Haula nor Carter have played this postseason. Bergenheim has played three games, and Schroeder has played one during the playoffs. Yeo said he would wait to make a lineup decision, but added he's looking to add speed and someone who can kill penalties. "We've got a lot of options," Yeo said. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville hopes he has the option of playing forward Kris Versteeg. Versteeg could return to skating Sunday after recently suffering a lower-body injury. Versteeg missed a team practice on Thursday and was a scratch in Game 1 on Friday. He had one goal and played in all six of the Blackhawks' first-round games.
