Source: Peter Chiarelli meeting with Oilers

Former Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli is meeting with the Edmonton Oilers, a source confirmed Wednesday.

Since Craig MacTavish is general manager of the Oilers, it's not clear which job Chiarelli, who is respected around the league, could be interviewing for.

The Bruins relieved Chiarelli of his duties last week after the team failed to reach the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in eight seasons.
