Max Pacioretty returns for Game 2

MONTREAL -- Canadiens leading scorer Max Pacioretty returned to the lineup for the second game of their Eastern Conference playoff series with the Ottawa Senators on Friday night.

Montreal coach Michel Therrien said Pacioretty was "feeling good" after participating in the game-day skate Friday.

Pacioretty suffered a concussion and injured his neck against the Boston Bruins in early March. He led the Canadiens with 37 goals and 67 points this season.

Therrien said right winger P.A. Parenteau will sit out against the Senators because of an upper-body injury.

The Canadiens won the series opener 4-3 on Wednesday night.

For the Senators, Ottawa tough guy Chris Neil figured to replace the injured Mark Stone, who suffered a right wrist microfracture and ligament damage after being slashed by P.K. Subban in Game 1. But Stone took the ice Friday night.
