Blackhawks yank Crawford at start of 2nd period vs Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford was pulled after the first period of the Blackhawks' Game 1 against Nashville and replaced by Scott Darling.

Crawford gave up three goals on 12 shots in the first period against Nashville. He went 32-20-5 during the regular season for Chicago, which split the Jennings Trophy with Montreal and Carey Price, allowing the fewest goals in the NHL with 189.

The goalie ranked sixth in the NHL with a .924 save percentage and 11th with a 2.27 goals against average.

Darling had to stop only four shots in the second as Chicago tied it with three goals in the period. Darling was 9-4-0 during the regular season for the Blackhawks with a 1.95 goals against average.
