Blue Jackets activate Matt Calvert

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Matt Calvert off injured reserve after he missed four games with an upper-body injury.

The 24-year-old Calvert had one goal and one assist with six penalty minutes in nine games this season prior to being injured Nov. 7 at Carolina. He has 30 goals and 35 assists along with 119 penalty minutes in 162 career NHL games.

The Brandon, Manitoba, native was Columbus' fifth pick, 127th overall, in the 2008 draft. In 2013-14, he had nine goals and 15 assists along with 53 penalty minutes in 56 games, setting career highs in assists, points and penalty minutes.
