ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Nick Bonino assisted on the tying goal by Alexandre Burrows in the second period and got the only goal in the shootout in his return to Anaheim, helping the Vancouver Canucks beat the Ducks 2-1 on Sunday night.

It was the first meeting between the teams since the June 27 trade that brought Ryan Kesler to the Ducks and sent Bonino and defenseman Luca Sbisa to Vancouver.

It was the Ducks' second loss in three nights at home against a club they won all five meetings against last season. The Arizona Coyotes beat them 3-2 in a shootout on Friday.

The Ducks, who led the league in goals last season en route to their second straight Pacific Division title, have just 11 in regulation over their last eight games. Defenseman Sami Vatanen had Anaheim's only goal against Eddie Lack, who finished with 28 saves.

OILERS 3, RANGERS 1

NEW YORK -- Benoit Pouliot scored the go-ahead goal against his former team midway through the second period and backup Viktor Fasth made 20 saves to lead Edmonton.

Pouliot got his second goal of the season off a nifty pass from linemate Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at 8:29 of the middle period to put the Oilers ahead 2-1. Pouliot was a key member of the Rangers as they reached the Stanley Cup finals last spring before he signed a five-year, $20-million deal with Edmonton in July.

Nugent-Hopkins opened the scoring at 3:19 of the first with his team-leading fifth of the season. Carl Hagelin tied it for the Rangers with 7:26 remaining in the period with his fourth goal.

Teddy Purcell's empty-net goal at with 1:27 remaining in the game sealed the Oilers' second straight win.

The Rangers lost their second straight.

LIGHTNING 4, RED WINGS 3, SO

DETROIT -- Steven Stamkos scored twice and Ryan Callahan had the lone shootout goal to lift Tampa Bay to its sixth straight victory.

Callahan deked right and got the puck past Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard to seal the victory, the first during the streak that required extra play.

Ben Bishop stopped all three shots he faced during the shootout and made 17 saves to secure his ninth victory of the season. Howard had 27 saves.

Detroit trailed 3-2 at the end of the second period thanks to Darren Helm's slap shot goal and Gustav Nyquist tied the game midway through the third with his team-best eighth marker.

Stamkos' second goal, his 10th this season, ricocheted in off the right post early in the second period to give the Lightning its first lead and Tyler Johnson made it a 3-1 game a few minutes later.

MAPLE LEAFS 5, SENATORS 3

OTTAWA -- Peter Holland had a goal and an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs erased a one-goal deficit three times.

James van Riemsdyk, Mike Santorelli, Josh Leivo and David Clarkson also scored for the Maple Leafs, and James Reimer stopped 38 shots.

Clarkson had the only goal of the third period and gave Toronto its two-goal lead with 14 minutes to play.

Mike Hoffman, Kyle Turris and Mark Stone scored for the Senators, who lost for the first time in regulation at home this season, dropping to 4-1-3 at Canadian Tire Centre.

Although he allowed five goals on 30 shots, Robin Lehner made some brilliant saves including one on Phil Kessel in the third when, while on his stomach, he reached out with his stick to swipe the puck away just before it crossed the goal line.

BLACKHAWKS 5, SHARKS 2

CHICAGO -- Defensemen Trevor van Riemsdyk, Brent Seabrook and Niklas Hjalmarsson scored in the first period, helping Chicago end a three-game losing streak.

Bryan Bickell added a big goal in the third for the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford made 32 saves, including a nice stop on Patrick Marleau with Chicago nursing a one-goal lead with 7:30 left.

Joe Pavelski had two goals for San Jose, which was coming off a 5-3 victory at Dallas on Saturday night.

Trailing 3-2, the Sharks had a chance to tie the game when David Rundblad was sent off for holding at 9:06 of the third. But the Blackhawks killed off the penalty, and Bickell put it away with his second goal of the season at 16:18.

Jonathan Toews added an empty-netter with 1:57 left.

Antti Niemi finished with 32 stops for San Jose.
