Two-year deal for Devante Smith-Pelly

NHL, Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed restricted free-agent winger Devante Smith-Pelly to a two-year contract, the club announced Tuesday.

The deal is worth $800,000 per season, a source told ESPN.com.

Smith-Pelly, 22, had two goals and eight assists in 19 regular-season games with the Ducks last season, then led the team with five goals in 12 playoff games.

He also garnered 24 penalty minutes in the postseason while frequently playing on a line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Smith-Pelly was selected in the second round, 42nd overall, in the 2010 draft.

The Pacific Division champion Ducks' first training camp practice is Friday.
