ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Coach Bruce Boudreau and the Ducks have agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season.
The Ducks announced the deal Wednesday.
Boudreau is 111-55-22 in nearly three seasons with the Ducks, transforming an underachieving club into a championship contender. Anaheim won the Pacific Division title in each of the past two seasons.
The Ducks finished last season with the Western Conference's best record at 54-20-8 before losing a seven-game series in the second round of the playoffs to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.
Boudreau also led the Washington Capitals to four division titles, winning the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's coach of the year in 2008. He has the NHL's top winning percentage among active coaches at .663 (312-143-62).
