The Philadelphia Flyers announced a multiyear contract extension for veteran defenseman Andrew MacDonald on Tuesday.
The extension is for six years and $30 million, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun. The contract increases in value each season.
The Flyers acquired MacDonald from the Islanders at March's trade deadline.
MacDonald, 27, has four goals and 24 assists this season.
