Hossa expected to return against Detroit

CHICAGO -- Forward Marian Hossa is expected to return to the Chicago Blackhawks' lineup when they host the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday night.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said before the game he planned to have the 35-year-old Hossa back in action for the first time in two weeks against Chicago's Original Six rival. Hossa has been out with an upper-body injury since the first period of the Blackhawks' 5-1 victory over Pittsburgh at Soldier Field on March 1.

He has 24 goals and 26 assists in 57 games this season for the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Hossa was slowed by a back injury during the Stanley Cup finals last year against Boston, but he said this injury is unrelated to that one.
