WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Winnipeg defenseman Grant Clitsome is out for the season after undergoing back surgery in California.
The Jets made the announcement Friday. The team didn't disclose specifics of the injury.
The 28-year-old Clitsome hasn't played since Dec. 17 in Buffalo. He had 12 points in 32 games.
He was claimed by the Jets off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets in February 2012.
