BOSTON -- David Krejci scored 1:28 into overtime to lift the surging Boston Bruins to a 3-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
Reilly Smith and Zdeno Chara also had goals for Eastern Conference-leading Boston, which beat the Hurricanes for the second time this week and improved to 7-1-2 in its last 10 games.
Bruins backup Chad Johnson, playing just his fourth game of the season, made 22 saves in place of resting Tuukka Rask.
Patrick Dwyer scored a short-handed goal, and Andrej Sekera had one on the power play for the Hurricanes, who lost their fourth straight. Cam Ward stopped 35 shots.
DUCKS 4, COYOTES 2
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Dustin Penner scored two goals, and Anaheim handed Phoenix its first regulation home loss of the season.
Sami Vatanen had a power-play goal, and Corey Perry also scored for the Ducks, who are the only NHL team not to lose at home in regulation this season.
The Coyotes dropped to 9-1-2 at home.
After shutting out Tampa Bay on Friday, Jonas Hiller earned his second straight victory and improved to 9-3-2 this season. In the two wins, Hiller stopped 73 of 75 shots.
Shane Doan scored on a tip-in with 4:20 remaining. He also assisted on Mike Ribeiro's goal and has at least one point in eight straight games.
RANGERS 2, PREDATORS 0
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Cam Talbot made 17 saves to record his second consecutive shutout, and the New York Rangers beat Nashville.
Ryan McDonagh and Derek Stepan scored for the Rangers, who have won the first two games of a five-game road trip. Mats Zuccarello assisted on both goals for New York, which has won six consecutive road games.
Talbot got the start over No. 1 goalie Henrik Lundqvist for the second straight Saturday night and didn't let any pucks get past him. He has a shutout streak of 146 minutes, 28 seconds.
Nashville's season-best, three-game winning streak was snapped.
WILD 3, JETS 2, SO
WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Charlie Coyle scored in the fourth round of the shootout to give Minnesota a victory over Winnipeg.
Minnesota (15-5-4) has won six of seven and is 9-1-1 in November.
Winnipeg extended its losing streak to four games (0-2-2). The Jets have lost three of the eight shootouts they have been in.
Mikko Koivu also scored in the shootout. Bryan Little beat Niklas Backstrom.
Michael Frolik and Matt Halischuk each had a goal and assist for Winnipeg (10-11-4) in regulation.
Nino Niederreiter and Zach Parise scored for Minnesota. Parise's 11th of the season sent the game into overtime. He also had an assist.
MAPLE LEAFS 2, CAPITALS 1, SO
TORONTO -- Joffrey Lupul scored the shootout winner, and James Reimer made 49 saves to lift Toronto over Washington Capitals.
Reimer stopped three of the four shots he faced in the shootout after the Leafs were outshot 50-28 through overtime.
Toronto took the lead at 10:08 of the second period when David Clarkson scored on a power play.
Alex Ovechkin tied it with his NHL-leading 20th goal of the season at 15:50 of the third.
Eric Fehr scored in the shootout for the Capitals. James van Riemsdyk and Lupul scored for the Leafs.
FLYERS 5, ISLANDERS 2
PHILADELPHIA -- Matt Read scored two goals, Steve Mason made 36 saves, and streaking Philadelphia beat the New York Islanders.
The Flyers evened their record (10-10-2) for the first time this season with their sixth win in seven games. They are 6-0-1 in that span and 9-3-2 since a 1-7 start.
Claude Giroux, Wayne Simmonds and Brayden Schenn also had goals for Philadelphia.
John Tavares and Eric Boulton scored for the Islanders, who have lost eight of 10, including all three games on their road trip.
After scoring just 22 goals in their first 15 games, the Flyers have 26 in the last seven.
SENATORS 4, RED WINGS 2
DETROIT -- Clarke MacArthur scored two goals, and Ottawa outlasted Detroit in a testy third period.
Bobby Ryan scored the tiebreaking goal on a two-man advantage with 16:09 remaining for the Senators, who have won two in a row at Joe Louis Arena for only the second time. They won 6-1 at Detroit on Oct. 23.
Chris Neil also scored for Ottawa.
Pavel Datsyuk tied it at 2 early in the third -- with the Red Wings enjoying a 5-on-3 power play. But Ottawa took advantage of its own opportunity when Detroit was down two men, going back ahead on Ryan's goal.
Detroit's Daniel Alfredsson was out of the lineup against his former team because of a groin injury.
Darren Helm scored in the first period for the Red Wings, who have won only one of their last nine games -- although they have earned points in six thanks to a string of games that went beyond regulation.
CANADIENS 3, PENGUINS 2
MONTREAL -- Max Pacioretty scored two goals, and Montreal stretched its winning streak to three games with a victory against Pittsburgh.
Tomas Plekanec also had a goal for the Canadiens (13-9-2), and Carey Price made 29 saves.
James Neal had a pair of goals for the Penguins (15-9-0), and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 26 shots.
Pacioretty's sixth goal of the season gave the Canadiens a 1-0 lead at 1:53 of the second period. Montreal opened the third with two goals in quick succession.
BLUES 6, STARS 1
ST. LOUIS -- Brian Elliott made 34 saves in only his fifth start of the season and St. Louis got goals from six players in its third straight win, a victory over Dallas.
St. Louis (16-3-3) has won five of six and is off to the fastest start in franchise history.
Dallas had its six-game road winning streak snapped.
St. Louis coach Ken Hitchcock recorded his 621st win, moving him into sole possession of eighth place in career NHL victories.
Vladimir Sobotka, Vladimir Tarasenko, David Backes, Derek Roy, Chris Stewart and T.J. Oshie scored for the Blues, who have won six of seven against the Stars.
Elliott, the backup to Jaroslav Halak, stopped the final 27 shots in improving 4-0-1.
Brenden Dillon scored for Dallas, which fell to 8-6 on the road.
