As a paramedic you don't just get CPR if you have a little heart thing. If the people who performed it are legit, he was dead (no heart beat). This is a bigger deal than what it's been made out to be.

Yup. No heartbeat. They used the portable defib on him. This is another reason why it should be mandatory that every rink should have at least one of these in them.

Well......you don't just drop down with a "cardiac emergency" for no reason. They'll find something and it will likely end his career as it will prove too big an issue to play through.

The only other player I can think of right now who experienced a similar thing is Jiri Fischer of the Red Wings, and it effectively ended his career.
