the 3OT game and the 6.6 seconds left game in the NYR-Caps series will haunt that team for a while. all they had to do was win one of them, ugh

what about the double overtime game 7 devils vs. pathers. that was actually a good series.

What about the knee-on-knee hit during the Phoenix vs. LA series that was missed or not depending upon who you wanted to win? That should be included in this list. Man, Shane Doan was pissed! I thought he was going to punch Dustin Brown during the handshake. Probably should have. That was a great series too. GO CAPS!

Defining moment in the Pittsburgh vs. Philly series was the missed call offside on Brierre who ended up scoring the goal to ignite the comeback.

the east is poo compared to the west

You keep commenting on this reckless which would have never happened if they called the other reckless hit going the other way. Or how about the ref getting in the way on goal number 4. That was the Game changer for Game 6.

Tom Gulitti @TGfireandice Parise said he wants to come back and "no way" he signs with Rangers

In a series as tight as this one was, the first goal is huge. Even if they only give up one goal it probably breaks their backs. You don't take a stupid penalty like that and give the other team a chance to score the first goal on a 5 min PP. If you take a minor preventing a scoring chance that is one thing, but a not even borderline boarding in the offensive zone when no other players are even around to give the puck to, STUPID!!!!

The playoffs in the West were a joke this year. The 8th seed DOMINATED the top three teams in the conference. None of those series were even interesting. The better series (not arguing better teams) were in the East.

Henrique's ot winner to send the Devils to the finals? What about Henrique's ot winner in game 7 to keep the Devils alive against the Panthers? Or what about Ryan Carter's goal late in Game 5 after the Devils blew a 3-0 lead to save the game and probably the season against the Rangers in the ECF at MSG. Give me a break At first I thought this was going to be about Bernier and the missed Gionta call... where's that article?

Game 3 Rangers vs Caps was another great game. Gaborik scores late in triple overtime to win the game. Both teams were so tired. The guys could barely skate. How often do you see that?

Giroux nailing Crosby and then scoring on the same (first) shift in Game 6 is Top 3 on anyone's list but Scott Burnside, whose super secret crush wears #87.

If anything was to come out of the Flyers-Penguins series. I would think it was the Giroux first shift in game six moment. Asked for the first shift, tells the bench wait until you see this, big open ice hit on Crosby, and finishes with a goal. I think that's a bigger moment then focusing on the losing side's star player Crosby pushing a glove. Or is it just the Philly fan in me thinking our moment before we were freight trained by the Devils is better?

You should have written/typed the article.

Your constant Eastern Conference bias is just laughable now. According to you Burnside there is only one conference in the NHL. If I remember correctly that conference didn't hoist the cup this year...get over it

Yea there are 2 stories posted. One for the East, one for the West. Dont see the bias since this is the Eastern Conference story?

people still not grasping burnside covering the devils/ east and lebrun covering the kings/ west is what is truly laughable. lebrun wrote the exact same article on the west (as he did throughout the playoffs).
