Jets' Holmes, Cumberland sit out practice

NFL, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes and tight end Jeff Cumberland sat out practice for the second straight day, and could miss the team's game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Holmes has been sidelined four games with a hamstring injury. Cumberland suffered a concussion in the Jets' 49-9 loss to Cincinnati last Sunday.

Coach Rex Ryan says Thursday that Konrad Reuland and Zach Sudfeld could split snaps if Cumberland can't go Sunday.

Right guard Willie Colon (left calf) also did not practice for the second consecutive day, but says it's "looking promising" for him to play. Backup running back Alex Green also sat out with a hamstring injury.

Wide receivers David Nelson (quadriceps) and Stephen Hill (foot), and center Nick Mangold (ribs) were limited.
