Passing

-Drew Brees, Saints, finished 26 for 34 for 332 yards and five touchdown passes in New Orleans' 35-17 win over Buffalo. Brees has eight career games with at least five touchdown passes, the most in NFL history.

-Andy Dalton, Bengals, was 19 for 30 for 325 yards with a career-high five touchdown passes and an interception in Cincinnati's 49-9 win over the New York Jets.

-Matthew Stafford, Lions, was 33 for 48 for 488 yards and a touchdown and two interceptions in Detroit's 31-30 win over Dallas. Stafford has six career games with at least 400 yards passing in his first five NFL seasons, trailing Hall of Famer Dan Marino (seven) for the most such games in the first five seasons of a career in NFL history.

-Peyton Manning, Broncos, finished 30 for 44 for 354 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions in Denver's 45-21 win over Washington. Manning has 2,919 yards passing this season, the most through the first eight games in NFL history.

-Aaron Rodgers, Packers, was 24 for 29 for 285 yards and two touchdown passes in Green Bay's 44-31 victory over Minnesota.

-Jason Campbell, Browns, was 22 for 36 for 293 yards and two touchdown passes in Cleveland's 23-17 loss to Kansas City.

-Terrelle Pryor, Raiders, was 10 for 19 for 88 yards and two interceptions and added nine carries for 106 yards, including a 93-yard TD run in Oakland's 21-18 win over Pittsburgh. Pryor's 93-yard touchdown rushing is the longest TD run by a quarterback in NFL history. Pryor also surpassed Bo Jackson (92 yards, Nov. 5, 1989) for the longest rushing touchdown by a Raider.

Rushing

-Andre Ellington, Cardinals, had 15 carries for 154 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown, in Arizona's 27-13 win over Atlanta.

-Alfred Morris, Redskins, had 17 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown in Washington's 45-21 loss to Denver.

-Reggie Bush, Lions, had 21 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown in Detroit' 31-30 victory over Dallas.

-Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter, 49ers. Gore had 19 carries for 71 yards and two touchdowns and Hunter added nine carries for 84 yards in San Francisco's 42-10 victory over Jacksonville.

Receiving

-Calvin Johnson, Lions, finished with 14 catches and 329 yards and a touchdown in Detroit's 31-30 win against Dallas. His 329 yards are the second most in NFL history by a receiver. Flipper Anderson had 336 yards receiving for the Los Angeles Rams against New Orleans on Nov. 26, 1989 in a game that went into overtime. Johnson had his fifth career game with at least 200 yards receiving, tying Hall of Famer Lance Alworth for the most such games in NFL history.

-Josh Gordon, Browns, had five catches for 132 yards and a touchdown in Cleveland's 23-17 loss to Kansas City.

-Kenny Stills, Saints, had three catches for 129 yards, including touchdowns of 69 and 42 yards, in New Orleans' 35-17 win over Buffalo.

-Marvin Jones and A.J. Green, Bengals. Jones had eight catches for 122 yards and four touchdowns and Green had three catches for 115 yards in Cincinnati's 49-9 victory over the New York Jets. Jones' four TD catches are the most in a single game in Bengals history and the most in an NFL game since Nov. 18, 2007 (Randy Moss and Terrell Owens, four each).

-Jordy Nelson, Packers, had seven catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns in Green Bay's 44-31 win over Minnesota.

-Harry Douglas, Falcons, had 12 catches for 121 yards in Atlanta's 27-13 loss to Arizona.

-Josh Brown, Giants, was 5 for 5 on field goals in New York's 15-7 win over the Eagles.

-Najee Goode, Eagles, returned a fumbled snap on a punt attempt 2 yards for a touchdown in Philadelphia's 15-7 loss to the Giants.

-Cordarrelle Patterson, Vikings, returned a kickoff an NFL-record 109 yards for a touchdown in Minnesota's 44-31 loss to Green Bay.

-Micah Hyde, Packers, returned a punt 93 yards for a touchdown in Green Bay's 44-31 win over Minnesota.

Defense

-Adam Jones and Chris Crocker, Bengals. Jones returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown and Crocker returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown in Cincinnati's 49-9 win over the New York Jets. It was the first time the Bengals returned two interceptions for a touchdown since Dec. 16, 1984, against Buffalo.

-Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Broncos, returned an interception 75 yards for a touchdown in Denver's 45-21 win over Washington. DeAngelo Hall, Redskins, had two interceptions, returning one 26 yards for a touchdown.

-Dan Skuta, 49ers, returned a fumble 47 yards for a touchdown in San Francisco's 42-10 win over Jacksonville in London.

STREAKS & STATS

The Giants snapped an eight-game road losing streak while extending Philadelphia's home losing streak to 10 games. The Eagles' last win at the Linc was over the Giants on Sept. 30, 2012. ... Chip Kelly's high-flying offense that racked up at least 425 yards in each of the first six games has been grounded. The Eagles followed a 17-3 loss to Dallas with another poor offensive performance. They had just 201 yards of offense and have totaled 479 the past two weeks. LeSean McCoy, the NFL's leading rusher, was held to 48 yards on 15 carries. ... The Giants' Eli Manning was 25 of 39 for 246 yards and didn't throw an interception for the second consecutive game after getting picked 15 times in first six weeks. ... It was the first time the Giants won without scoring a TD since a 9-6 victory over Seattle on Sept. 22, 2002. ... The Patriots beat the Dolphins for the seventh straight time with a 27-17 win. After a 3-0 start, the Dolphins' losing streak reached four games. ... The Lions overcame four giveaways without forcing a turnover, becoming the first team to do that and win since New England did against Miami in 2007, according to STATS. ... The San Francisco 49ers have won five consecutive games. ... The Saints' defense, last in the league a year ago, has held six of seven opponents under 20 points. ... Buffalo DE Mario Williams had his 11th sack of the season. It also was his fifth straight game with a sack, the Bills' longest streak since Aaron Schobel had six games in a row in 2006. ... -Tony Romo, Cowboys, was 14 for 30 for 206 yards and three touchdowns in Dallas' 31-30 loss to Detroit. He failed to complete half his passes for the first time since 2009.

MILESTONES

The Chiefs moved to 8-0 after a 23-17 win over the Browns. The Chiefs are the first team in NFL history to start 8-0 after posting the worst record in the league the previous season. It is just the second 8-0 start in franchise history. In the Super Bowl era, 20 teams have started 8-0 and all 20 qualified for the playoffs. Twelve of those 20 clubs advanced to the Super Bowl and eight won the Super Bowl. ... The Chiefs held Cleveland to 17 points and became the fourth team since 1970 to allow 17 points or fewer in each of their first eight games of a season. ... With his second completion, Eli Manning passed Phil Simms as the Giants' all-time leader in yards passing. Simms, who played 14 seasons with the Giants, finished his career with 33,462 yards. Manning is also first in attempts, completions, and touchdown passes. ... Drew Brees (343) and New England's Tom Brady (343) passed Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton (342) for the fourth-most touchdown passes in NFL history. The Broncos have scored 343 points, the most by a team through the first eight games of a season in NFL history. ... Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had four catches for 48 yards with one touchdown in the Cardinals' 27-13 win over Atlanta. Fitzgerald, who has 800 career catches, became the youngest player in NFL history to reach 800 receptions (30 years and 57 days old).

SIDELINED

Michael Vick left the Eagles' 15-7 loss to the New York Giants late in the second quarter with his ailing hamstring acting up. Vick, making his first start since he injured his left hamstring on Oct. 6, was replaced by Matt Barkley. Vick was 6 of 9 for 31 yards and threw an interception. He had little mobility and did not appear close to recovered. He missed the past two games. ... Robert Griffin III left Washington's 45-21 loss to Denver late in the game with an injured left knee. The Redskins quarterback was slammed to the ground by the Broncos' Terrance Knighton, and Griffin's left leg appeared to buckle as Knighton fell on top of him. He said he was OK after the game. ... Miami wide receiver Brandon Gibson and New England offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer did not return after being injured in the first half of the Patriots' 27-17 win. Gibson caught a touchdown pass, but hurt his left knee later in the first quarter when he went up for a pass by Ryan Tannehill that sailed over his head. Vollmer was driven off the field on a cart in the second quarter after hurting one of his legs when Miami defensive tackle Randy Starks fell on them. ... Detroit defensive end Ziggy Ansah left the Lions' 31-30 win over Dallas with an injured left ankle. Lions wide receiver Ryan Broyles left with an Achilles tendon injury, and cornerback Bill Bentley was sidelined with a knee injury. Dallas guard Brian Waters also left with a triceps injury, and cornerback Morris Claiborne and safety Barry Church went down with hamstring issues.
