FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley left in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship Game after taking a big hit from Ravens safety Bernard Pollard on Sunday. He did not return to the Patriots' 28-13 loss due to a head injury.
Ridley made helmet-to-helmet contact with Pollard on the play. He went down to the ground and remained on the field for a few minutes, but was eventually able to walk off on his own power after receiving medical attention.
Ridley also fumbled the football on the play, giving the Ravens the ball in Patriots territory. He briefly took a seat on the Patriots bench before heading into the team's locker room for further attention.
Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib left in the first quarter with a thigh injury.
Talib returned to the Patriots sideline in the second quarter, but never re-entered the game.
Talib appeared to grab his right hamstring after breaking up a third-down pass. He then jogged to the locker room with team medical personnel.
He was replaced by Kyle Arrington.
Defensive tackle Kyle Love left in the first quarter with a knee injury.
