Ray Lewis attends Ravens game

Whenever Ray Lewis appears on the field for a Baltimore Ravens game, it is an emotional event.

Lewis attended his first game since undergoing surgery Oct. 17 for a torn triceps and watched the Ravens set a club record for points scored in a game in Baltimore's 55-20 victory over the Raiders.

On Friday, he surprised his teammates with a visit, delivered a post-practice speech and showed what witnesses said was an encouraging display of strength, given that he's less than a month into a rehab process that is supposed to take six months.

Lewis will head back to Miami after the game but he reminded the Ravens there's a reason he's on Injured Reserve designated to return -- telling teammates he still wants to play this season.
