Source: Lee Evans to join Jaguars

NFL, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars

Former Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills wide receiver Lee Evans will sign a one-year deal Monday with the Jacksonville Jaguars, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Evans, 31, had four catches for 74 yards in an injury-shortened season for the Ravens in 2012. He was traded to Baltimore in the 2011 preseason, following seven seasons with the Bills, who selected him in the first round of the 2004 draft (13th overall) from Wisconsin.

Evans was involved in one of the defining plays of the 2011 AFC Championship Game, as it appeared he had caught what would have been a game-winning 14-yard touchdown pass from Joe Flacco late in the fourth quarter.

But New England Patriots defender Sterling Moore slapped the ball away from Evans at the last second. That set the stage for Billy Cundiff's missed field goal as time expired, sending the Patriots to the Super Bowl instead of the Ravens.

For his career, Evans has 381 receptions for 6,008 yards and 43 touchdowns in 118 games.
