Bengals to activate Pacman Jones soon

The Cincinnati Bengals' No. 1-ranked defense soon could be getting even better, and certainly more interesting.

Cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones is ready to come off the physically unable to perform list after undergoing offseason neck surgery, and Cincinnati plans to activate him later this month, likely in time for its Oct. 30 game at Seattle.

Jones is said to be in great shape, has gained 10 pounds of muscle, and he will be worked into the Bengals cornerback rotation of Leon Hall, Nate Clements and Kelly Jennings, giving Cincinnati considerable depth at cornerback.

Jones is anxious to return and the Bengals are anxious to get him back.

Cincinnati won Sunday to move to 3-2 on the season.
