CBs Leigh Bodden, Ras-I Dowling out

OAKLAND -- The New England Patriots have declared cornerbacks Leigh Bodden (groin) and Ras-I Dowling (hip) out for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, leaving them without two of their top players at the position.

Also, defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, who missed practices Thursday and Friday and was not expected to play, was declared out.

Bodden, Dowling and Haynesworth join tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee), offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back) and defensive lineman Mike Wright (concussion) as those out for the game. The Patriots will have to declare one more player inactive before kickoff.

Of all players declared out, Bodden is most notable, as the others weren't expected to play after missing practice time late in the week.

The Patriots' starting right cornerback opposite Devin McCourty, Bodden will be replaced by either Kyle Arrington or Antwaun Molden, with Arrington having more starting experience (14 games in 2010). The Patriots also have Phillip Adams as a depth option.
