Examining the Vikings' draft profile

Here is a look at the factors that will come into play in the Minnesota Vikings draft room:

Decision Makers
Although there are a lot of titles in this front office, head coach Brad Childress has a lot more say than most people realize. He is a strong-minded evaluator with a firm idea of what he wants, but he has a lot of experienced people around him. Vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski handles contracts, trades and he has sufficient power -- partly because he was involved in hiring everybody. Scott Studwell is the college scouting director and he oversees his group of veteran scouts and gathers information. Vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman is involved with finalizing the final draft board, but director of player personnel George Paton also has a voice. When the final decision is made, it is usually between Childress, Spielman, Brzezinski and owner Zygi Wilf. This is a solid, but somewhat-underrated front office.
