From 32 to 1: Atlanta Falcons

TEAM NEEDS

Cornerback:
Last year's best corner, Dominique Foxworth, is gone. In last year's playoff matchup with the Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald abused practically every defensive back the Falcons had. The team will be in a great position to make a play for Vontae Davis in the first round. The Illinois corner had a great combine and could still be there when the team picks in the first round.

Outside Linebacker:
This was arguably the weakest unit on the team last season. Michael Boley disappointed and long-time Falcon Keith Brooking is no longer with the team. The Falcons should look to add a playmaker early in the draft. Ohio St.'s Marcus Freeman performed well during Senior Bowl week and although undersized (235 lbs) has the speed to drop back into coverage. He's a solid second or third round pick.

Strong Safety:
Lawyer Milloy played admirably last season, but his age (turns 36 in November) combined with diminishing pass coverage could spell doom for the Flacons secondary. Thomas DeCoud was drafted in the third round last year to provide some depth at the position, but he played mostly special teams. If the team isn't sold on the current depth they should think about Kevin Ellison from USC. He played both safety positions with the Trojans and might be a nice addition in the fourth round.

PODCAST

I recently joined Dave Dameshek on his podcast to discuss the draft. Check it out. Mel Kiper even called in and yapped a bit.
