Soccer-U.S. to face Denmark in January friendly

CHICAGO, Nov 15 - The United States will play
their first match since the World Cup when the side takes on
Denmark in a friendly on January 20, the United States Soccer
Federation announced on Wednesday.

The U.S. are currently without a coach but the game in
Carson, California could mark the debut of Bruce Arena's
replacement.

Arena led the national side from 1998 until their
disappointing exit in the group stages of the World Cup in
Germany in July.

Several high profile candidates have been linked to the
vacancy, including Germany's Juergen Klinsmann who led the
hosts to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The game will also mark the start of busy season for the
U.S. men's team, who are also scheduled to take part in the
Copa America in July and defend its CONCACAF Gold Cup title in
June.
