ROME, March 14 - Dutchman Thomas Dekker won the
Tirreno-Adriatico race on Tuesday.
The Rabobank rider retained his 14-second lead on Germany's
Joerg Jaksche on the final flat stage from Campli to San
Benedetto del Tronto to become the third Dutchman to win the
week-long race.
Italian sprinter Alessandro Petacchi won the final 166-km
stage ahead of Robbie McEwen of Australia and Paride Grillo of
Italy.
