Lions put linebacker Lehman on IR with foot injury

Detroit Lions

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit linebacker Teddy Lehman's season is over after he was placed on injured reserve because of a foot injury.

Lehman, who won the Butkus and Bednarik awards in 2003 while at
Oklahoma, did not play in the last three games after getting hurt
Oct. 30 against Chicago. He was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Lions coach Steve Mariucci said Lehman will have surgery soon.

He made 15 tackles and an interception in five games this season
after missing the first two games with a knee injury.

Lehman was the only rookie linebacker to start every game last
year. He made 120 tackles, finishing second on the team.
