NFL, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks

Free agent NFL quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly threatening a woman in Florida, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

According to an arrest report first obtained by WESH 2 News in Orlando, Florida, Jackson was staying at a vacation home in the Regal Oaks Resort and returned to the unit drunk at around midnight Friday. He kicked in the upstairs bedroom door, according to the arrest report -- details of which were reported in the Orlando Sentinel -- and began yelling at the woman, who went downstairs and grabbed a knife.

The woman told police that Jackson followed her downstairs, grabbed a handgun out of a bag and pointed it at her, saying, "I'll kill you [expletive]. I'll kill you."

Jackson told the deputies who responded to the incident that there was no gun in the rental, but a gun and container of marijuana were found on the kitchen counter, according to the arrest report.

Three children were asleep in the vacation home during the incident, according to the report.

Jackson was booked in Osceola County Jail and posted bond later Friday.

Jackson has spent 10 years in the league, including two separate stints with the Seattle Seahawks, the latter of which ended this past season.

He has completed 59.6 percent of his passes, averaged 6.8 yards per attempt and thrown 39 touchdowns against 35 interceptions.

Having played most recently behind the durable Russell Wilson, Jackson has not started a game since 2011.

He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings before joining the Seahawks. After a year in Buffalo, Jackson went back to Seattle, where he spent the past three years.
