The Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings played in temperatures at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium of minus-6 degrees, which made it the third-coldest NFL game on record. The previous record cold games for each franchise: Vikings, minus-2 degrees (Dec. 3, 1972, vs. Chicago). Seahawks, 16 degrees (Dec. 3, 2006, at Denver).

PACKING UP POINTS

During Green Bay's 35-18 win over Washington, the Packers scored on five consecutive possessions in one stretch, with four touchdowns and a field goal. They also compiled their highest point total since a season-high 38 in Week 3.

SLIPPERY SEAHAWK

Trailing 9-0 at the 13-minute mark, Seattle's Russell Wilson nearly took a huge loss on first down when he fumbled a shotgun snap he wasn't ready for. But the guy Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer called "Houdini" during the week darted right, dodged a sack and found Tyler Lockett wide open for a 35-yard completion to set up a score to Doug Baldwin in the Seahawks' 10-9 win.

HERO TO GOAT

Minnesota's Blair Walsh shanked a 27-yard field goal in the closing seconds after holder Jeff Locke couldn't spin the ball to get the laces out, handing the Seattle Seahawks a 10-9 victory in their wild-card playoff round game. Walsh was the only offense for the Vikings, hitting three field goals from 22, 43 and 47 yards in the first three quarters.
