Playoffs -- even a division title -- within Vikings' reach

There may not be a more overlooked team in the NFL than the Minnesota Vikings. They are considered to have almost no chance to win the NFC North, despite being only a game out with nine games to play, and did not make the top 10 of ESPN's latest power rankings.

Combine those assessments with a very tough remaining schedule and it's easy to assume Minnesota is not playoff bound.

However, after reviewing the game tapes and metrics, it is clear the Vikings are excelling in such a wide variety of areas that no achievement, not even a division title, should be considered out of this club's reach.

Teddy Bridgewater is a clutch quarterback

Bridgewater's sophomore pro campaign has been a bit rockier than his rookie season in many ways, but he has stepped up when the Vikings need him most. This was the case in the Week 8 comeback win over the Chicago Bears, as Bridgewater posted a perfect passer rating in the final four minutes of that game. This is not an anomaly, as Bridgewater ranks ninth in Total QBR on plays where the Vikings are behind on the scoreboard (72.7).
