Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery starts vs. Detroit

DETROIT -- Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who missed the past four games with a hamstring injury, was active and started against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Jeffery, who had been officially listed as questionable, caught five passes for 78 yards in Chicago's Week 1 loss to Green Bay.

The fourth-year wideout has 33 receptions for 440 yards and four touchdowns in five career games against the Lions.

Wide receiver Eddie Royal (ankle) and tight end Martellus Bennett (quadriceps) will also play Sunday.

Royal sat out last week's win in Kansas City because of an ankle injury he suffered on Oct. 4.

Bears coach John Fox said Bennett hurt his quadriceps muscle Thursday. Bennett did not practice Friday and was questionable for Week 6.

Chicago starters safety Antrel Rolle (ankle), inside linebacker Shea McClellin (knee) and left Jermon Bushrod (shoulder) are inactive.
