WR Jeremy Kerley one of 3 Jets to suffer concussion in preseason win

NFL, New York Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley was one of three Jets to suffer a concussion in Friday's 30-22 preseason win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Jets coach Todd Bowles announced the news after the game. It remains to be seen how long Kerley will be out. He also suffered a concussion with the Jets in 2013.

Kerley, who had two catches for 38 yards against the Falcons, is competing for playing time under Bowles, the Jets' first-year coach. Expected to be New York's No. 3 receiver behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, Kerley is currently behind Quincy Enunwa for that position.

Running back Daryl Richardson and safety Durell Eskridge were the other two Jets players who suffered a concussion.

Three other Jets players left Friday's game with an injury: wideout Shaquelle Evans (sprained back), offensive tackle Ben Ijalana (knee) and Dashaun Phillips (rib).
