Adrian Coxson out of hospital, to have more tests after heat-related illness

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Adrian Coxson, the Green Bay Packers rookie receiver who was taken from Saturday's training camp practice in an ambulance, was released from a local hospital, according to a source.

However, the source said Sunday that additional tests were planned to help determine what happened.

After Saturday's practice, coach Mike McCarthy said Coxson felt "fatigued" and "light-headed" during the first full-pads practice of camp. Temperatures reached the low 80s.

The Packers were off on Sunday, but it's unlikely Coxson, an undrafted free agent from Stony Brook University, will be able to practice on Monday.

The Packers, like all NFL teams, improved their resources to treat heat-related issues after the death of Minnesota Vikings star Korey Stringer 14 years ago.
