GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers rookie receiver Adrian Coxson was treated for an apparent heat-related issue following Saturday's training camp practice.
Coxson, an undrafted free agent from Stony Brook University, was taken from the field by ambulance during the Packers' workout.
"We had a situation where he just was feeling fatigued [and] lightheaded," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said after practice. "He's under observation right now."
Coxson was undergoing additional tests Saturday afternoon, according to his agent, Jonathan Herbst.
It was the first full-pads practice of Packers' training camp, which opened Thursday. Temperatures reached the low 80s.
The Packers, like all NFL teams, improved their resources to treat heat-related issues after the death of Minnesota Vikings star Korey Stringer 14 years ago.
