Supplemental draft prospect Isaiah Battle's workout attended by 26 teams

Isaiah Battle's workout Tuesday ahead of Thursday's supplemental draft was attended by 26 teams, a Clemson official told ESPN.com's Mike Reiss.

The former Clemson starting left tackle is one of seven players available to be selected in the draft.

The large number of teams in attendance reflects Battle's standing as the top prospect available in Thursday draft. One scout in attendance shared his opinion to Reiss that Battle could be a fourth- to-seventh round pick in the supplemental draft.

If Battle is chosen, he will be the first player since Josh Gordon, selected by the Cleveland Browns in 2012, to be taken in the supplemental draft. If a team drafts a player Thursday it will forfeit its selection in the corresponding round of the 2016 NFL draft. If a player goes unselected, he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Battle, who is listed at 6-foot-7, 290 pounds, played in 27 career games, started 11 contests for Clemson last season and played more snaps than any other player on the team (824). He said he left school to enter the draft because he has "some family matters to address, with a child due this summer."

Battle has been in trouble in the past at Clemson, serving a suspension in 2013 after punching a player, and another last season for disciplinary reasons. According to The Clemson Insider, Battle was pulled over for speeding in early June and caught with marijuana. Police cited him for both, but did not charge or arrest him.

The other six players eligible to be drafted Thursday are: West Georgia defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey, West Georgia defensive end Darrius Caldwell, Houston defensive end Eric Eiland, UConn tight end Sean McQuillan, Kansas defensive back Kevin Short and North Carolina Central wide receiver/kick returner Adrian Wilkins.
