ASHBURN, Va. -- There's another RG -- but it's not a III. Instead, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III's wife, Rebecca, gave birth to a little girl who will share her famous father's initials.
Griffin tweeted out his big news that his wife gave birth to Reese Ann Griffin on Thursday. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces at birth. In his tweet, Griffin called it a life changer and included #Blessed. It's the couple's first child.

Thus continues a positive offseason for Griffin. The Redskins named him their starting quarterback in January, hoping to quell any hint of controversy this offseason. Earlier this month they picked up the fifth-year option on his contract, which would pay him $16.2 million if he's on the roster in 2016.
Griffin and the Redskins begin their voluntary offseason team activity workouts next week.
