Texans happy with QB situation as draft enters Day 2

HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans wouldn't discuss what position they'll target on Day 2 of the NFL draft on Friday night.

But if coach Bill O'Brien's comments are any indication, they won't be taking a quarterback. O'Brien seemed aggravated on Thursday night after they selected cornerback Kevin Johnson in the first round when a reporter asked about the importance of building the team's defense until they find a quarterback.

Houston re-signed Ryan Mallett and signed free agent Brian Hoyer in the offseason.

O'Brien says the Texans "feel really good about our quarterback position. So to be honest with you I'm a little tired of hearing that."

The Texans have the 51st and 82nd picks on Friday and could use a receiver after releasing seven-time Pro Bowler Andre Johnson this offseason.
