J.J. Watt pens get-out-of-work letter (0:53)

Two-time defensive player of the year J.J. Watt answered a fan's post on Twitter by writing a letter to her boss so she could attend Watt's annual charity softball game. (0:53)

Ashlee Sanchez bought tickets to J.J. Watt's annual (and popular) charity softball game, set for Friday.

One little problem, though ...

Well, the Houston Texans star was not about to let a fan -- who lives in Brownsville, Texas, five hours away from the Sugar Land, Texas, event -- flail in the wind.

Watt responded, in handwritten fashion:

What a move! And one we've only come to expect from one of the more fan-interactive stars in sports.

Now if only Watt would write us a letter, too ... because ... you know ... we also bought tickets ... yeah, that's it ... we totally bought tickets.

UPDATE: Sanchez's boss -- Eric Garza, the district clerk of Cameron County -- could not say no to Watt's request -- despite himself being a Dallas Cowboys fan.

This, even though Friday will be just Sanchez's fourth day of work!
