NFL draft prospect Jalen Collins failed multiple drug tests at LSU

LSU cornerback Jalen Collins had "multiple failed" drug tests while in college, sources told ESPN, confirming an earlier report by the NFL Network.

The No. 5 cornerback, whom some NFL draft analysts project as a first-round pick, has exceptional cover skills, above-average instincts and good ball skills, according to his ESPN/Scouts Inc. profile.

Collins ran a 4.48-second time in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine and finished among the top cornerbacks in several other drills while performing well during positional exercises.

He recently underwent surgery to repair an incomplete Jones fracture in his foot. It prevented him from participating in LSU's pro day in March but was expected to sideline him for only about three weeks.
