HOUSTON TEXANS (9-7)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: CB Kareem Jackson, OLB Brooks Reed, RT Derek Newton, DE Tim Jamison, QB Ryan Mallett, ILB Akeem Dent, DT Jerrell Powe, S Kendrick Lewis, S Danieal Manning, DT Ryan Pickett, QB Case Keenum.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: OLB Jeff Tarpinian, C Cody White, WR Damaris Johnson, S Eddie Pleasant and OLB John Simon.

NEEDS: The Texans need a quarterback, must decide whether to re-sign Mallett, who has said he'd like to stay. Mallett didn't have much chance to prove his value last year, starting two games -- the second with an already-torn pectoral muscle that ended his season. If Mallett leaves, they'll need to get a QB in a light free agent market. If they can't keep Jackson, a solid cornerback who played well with veteran Johnathan Joseph, they'll also need to help there. After releasing veteran center Chris Myers on Wednesday they could look for offensive linemen.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (13-5)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WRs Reggie Wayne and Hakeem Nicks; DEs Cory Redding, Fili Moala and Shaun Phillips; DBs Mike Adams, Sergio Brown, Colt Anderson and Josh Gordy; LB Andy Studebaker; RB Ahmad Bradshaw; OL Joe Reitz; and KR Josh Cribbs.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: LS Matt Overton, LB Josh McNary, OL A.Q. Shipley, DB Delano Howell, DT Jeris Pendleton.

NEEDS: When Trent Richardson is released, each of the Colts' top three runners will be free agents. Bradshaw's future is unclear after his recent arrest, too. So the Colts plan to spend some of their roughly $42 million in cap room to again fix the ground game. They could make a splashy signing, but the more likely route is to work on an offensive line that must improve. Indy also could be looking for another receiver and will almost certainly try to reinforce the defensive line and find another starting safety. The Colts still hope to re-sign Adams, Butler and Freeman and find out whether Wayne and Redding will return or retire.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (3-13)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WR Cecil Shorts III, DE Tyson Alualu, LB J.T. Thomas, CB Alan Ball, LB Geno Hayes, S Sherrod Martin, LB A.J. Edds.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: OT Austin Pasztor, RB Jordan Todman, G Jacques McClendon, FB Will Ta'ufo'ou, CB Teddy Williams, TE Fendi Onobun.

NEEDS: More talent on both sides of the ball, and for the first time in years, the Jaguars are poised to spend big in free agency. Team has nearly $70 million in salary cap space and plans to use much of it to find upgrades at free safety, right tackle, tight end, linebacker, receiver and maybe defensive line and running back. Theres speculation the small-market franchise will pursue DT Ndamukong Suh, WR Randall Cobb, TE Julius Thomas and maybe one or two other top free agents.

TENNESSEE TITANS (2-14)

UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: QB Jake Locker, WR Nate Washington, K Ryan Succop, OLB Derrick Morgan, S George Wilson, WR Derek Hagan, LB Quentin Groves, RB Jackie Battle, RB Leon Washington, TE Chase Coffman, OT Byron Stingily, G Chris Spencer, DE Karl Klug, LB Colin McCarthy, CB Brandon Harris, OT Will Svitek, QB Jordan Palmer, OL Eric Olsen, TE Matthew Mulligan.

RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: WR Kris Durham, LB Kaelin Burnett.

NEEDS: OLB, RT, DE, S, CB, RB and WR. The Titans have their pick of needs to fill after the franchise's worst record since 1994 in Ken Whisenhunt's debut season. They need a new right tackle after releasing Michael Oher, and not even adding Dick LeBeau as the coach in charge of defense will help if they don't sign more players who fit the 3-4 scheme installed in 2014. They also might add a quarterback to push Zach Mettenberger after not getting many games to study the rookie before an injury ended his season early.
