Reggie Wayne injured in Colts' win over Titans

Going into the playoffs, the injuries are piling up for the Indianapolis Colts.

Wide receiver Reggie Wayne hurt a groin muscle at the end of an 80-yard catch against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

Center A.Q. Shipley was carted off the sideline after hurting an ankle late in the second quarter, safety Sergio Brown hurt a hand and guard Hugh Thornton hurt a shoulder in the second half and never returned.

Wayne stayed on the ground a couple of minutes while fans chanted "Reggie, Reggie" after an 80-yard completion where he was tackled at the Titans 1. He never returned to the game. Colts coach Chuck Pagano said he thought Wayne ran out of energy on that long play.

"They'll all be evaluated obviously (Monday), and we'll know more in the coming days," Pagano said.

Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright limped to the sideline with an injured knee. He returned and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass. Titans defensive tackle Sammie Hill hurt a hamstring in the third quarter and didn't return. Titans quarterback Charlie Whitehurst hurt a shoulder late when sacked, and Jordan Palmer finished the game for Tennessee.

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster left the game with a hamstring injury against Jacksonville. Also, Jaguars defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks was on crutches after the game and coach Gus Bradley said he'll have an MRI on Monday.

Marks was injured on Alfred Blue's 1-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter that gave Houston a 14-10 lead. Marks was helped off the field and taken to the locker room by Jaguars staff.

Chargers safety Marcus Gilchrist and right tackle D.J. Fluker were escorted to the locker room after sustaining injuries in the first half of the game at Kansas City.

Gilchrist hurt his elbow, though it was unclear what happened to Fluker. Chiefs defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson also left with a calf injury.

The New York Giants had two safeties injured in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rookie Nat Berhe hurt his right knee on a kickoff runback by the Giants. Starting safety Stevie Brown was lost for the game with a sprained foot after making an interception at the Giants 6-yard line. The pick, however, was nullified when cornerback Chykie Brown was called for a pass interference call.

Broncos special teams standout David Bruton Jr. was carted off the field after a block in the back while covering a punt against Oakland. The team said he suffered a concussion and didn't return.

Earlier in the game, left guard Orlando Franklin left the game with a concussion. He was replaced by Ben Garland.

Oakland defensive end C.J. Wilson left in the first half with a hand injury.

The Atlanta Falcons lost starting safeties Dwight Lowery and Kemal Ismael by the midway point of the third quarter against Carolina.

Lowery left with a knee injury in the second quarter. Ishmael hurt his hamstring in the third. Both players were helped off the field.

Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens left with a right ankle injury in the second quarter, and defensive tackle Henry Melton suffered a knee injury. ... The Redskins lost three linemen: tackle Trent Williams (high ankle sprain), tackle Tom Compton (knee sprain) and guard Chris Chester (sprained toe).

Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson left the game against Miami in the second quarter with a head injury and didn't return. Miami linebacker Koa Misi left with a right knee injury in the third quarter.

Ravens defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan left with a foot injury against Cleveland and Browns linebacker Chris Kirksey left with a hamstring injury.
