There will be plenty of future NFL talent on the fields of this season's bowl games. But which ones feature the most 2015 NFL draft prospects? I ranked the top 10 based on both total number of prospects and the quality of prospects in each game.
(Note: Prospect numbers are based on players on each team who currently carry draftable grades from us.)
1. Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual (Semifinal): Oregon Ducks vs. Florida State Seminoles
Thursday, 5 p.m. ET; Pasadena, California; ESPN
FSU prospects with draftable grades: 11
Oregon prospects: Five
There will be future NFL players all over the field in this one, particularly on the Seminoles' sideline. They have seven of the top 10 prospects in this game, all with grades in the first three rounds.
But the big story is the QB matchup between Oregon's Marcus Mariota and FSU's Jameis Winston, the past two Heisman Trophy winners and the surefire top two quarterback prospects for the 2015 draft. Both guys have the potential to be very good NFL quarterbacks, but both come with warning signs.
