Additional Ray Rice video released

NFL

A newly released video shows Ray Rice's then-fiancée crying and kissing him while they are both handcuffed and being taken to jail after Rice punched her in a casino elevator.

The video was obtained by ABC News through a public records request filed with the New Jersey Gaming Enforcement Division. Rice's attorney fought to keep the video from being released but lost.

The former Baltimore Ravens running back and Janay Palmer were both handcuffed and placed in an elevator with several officers after the episode on Feb. 15. The video appears to show Palmer leaning in and kissing Rice before they are escorted out of the elevator.

ABC said the total length of the video is about 45 minutes long. The network released excerpts that last about 2½ minutes.

Commissioner Roger Goodell initially suspended Rice for two games, but after video showing Rice punching Janay was made public, the commissioner said he made a mistake and suspended him indefinitely.

Rice later appealed the suspension and won. He was reinstated by the league last month but has not signed with a team.

Information from the Associated Press was used in this report.
