Latavius Murray (concussion) out

NFL, Oakland Raiders

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders will be without running back Latavius Murray for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams after he failed to pass the concussion protocol.

Murray did not practice Friday after being limited in two workouts earlier in the week.

Interim head coach Tony Sparano said that Murray had passed some of the protocol tests but failed the final stage and was therefore ruled out.

"He did not pass the last part of the test," Sparano said. "I don't need to go into details but he's out."

Murray rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns in last week's win over the Kansas City Chiefs -- the best day by an Oakland running back this year. He was knocked out of the game late in the first half after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chiefs safety Kurt Coleman.
