The TMR 200: Week 12 rankings

Fantasy NFL

Welcome to Week 12, or, as it's known around these parts ... "What do we do with Josh Gordon?" week.

He's back, his suspension served, joining a Ben Tate-less Cleveland team just in time for a great matchup with Atlanta, but he's been out all season and the Browns are very run-heavy this season, and it's mostly worked for them. The skill and potential make him a possible top-five play this week; the layoff and the Browns' offense (so far) could leave him outside the top 30. Frankly, no scenario would surprise me with Josh Gordon, though I am more optimistic than not. I have him as a low-end No. 2 WR in my initial ranks, though that could easily change as the week progresses and we get practice reports and gather more intel.

It seems like we say it every week, but running back gets ugly fairly quickly, so you're probably looking at a wide receiver for a flex this week unless you've got nice depth at the positions. Tough matchups for some studs, uncertain playing time situations and banged-up guys combine to make this a tough week, even with only two teams on bye, and frankly, on that front, only LeVeon Bell is missed at the RB slot. With so much uncertainly, the running back position is the one where I see the ranks being most fluid this week as we find out who is playing, who is healthy and who is going to be given what workload.

As always, these ranks are based on ESPN Standard League scoring and are updated throughout the week, so check back often. And as long as we are doling out reminders: the "Fantasy Football Now Trade Deadline Special" airs Wednesday on ESPNEWS and WatchESPN, from 10 a.m. ET until the standard league trade deadline hits at noon. Check your league rules if you're in a custom setup, and don't let the deadline pass by without looking for ways to improve your team for the playoffs or, in keeper leagues, for the future.
