Top 10 WR prospects for 2015

The 2014 wide receiver draft class was one of the deepest and most talented we've seen in recent years, with 12 receivers coming off the board in the first two rounds. That's significant, considering that an average of about seven went in that range in the previous three drafts. A slew of talented underclassmen led the way, as 15 of the top 17 receivers on our final board were underclassmen.

This year's class does not appear to be as deep, but there is high-end talent and it continues to get stronger, with prospects like West Virginia's Kevin White, Oklahoma's Sterling Shepard and Michigan State's Tony Lippett having breakout seasons. Alabama's Amari Cooper began the campaign as a top prospect, and he has done nothing but enrich his stock.

Michigan's Devin Funchess is the one player who projects as a top-10 -- if not top-five -- receiver we did not include here. We moved him from tight end to receiver on our board last week, but he's a hybrid who can play a role similar to the one tight end Jordan Reed plays for the Washington Redskins. So who are the top receivers in the country this season? Here is a list of our top 10 not named Funchess, along with their strengths and weaknesses. Note that two of our top six will be on the field in the Florida State-Louisville game Thursday (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN and WatchESPN).
