Pagano: Vontae Davis is day-to-day

INDIANAPOLIS -- The MRI on Indianapolis Colts cornerback Vontae Davis' knee came back negative, coach Chuck Pagano said Monday. Pagano called him "day-to-day."

Davis, the Colts' top cornerback, injured his knee when he went in for a tackle in the first quarter of Sunday's 51-34 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The injury didn't seem severe at first, and it was announced in the press box that Davis was probable to return to the game. He was ruled out for the rest of the game in the second quarter. Josh Gordy replaced Davis at cornerback.

Pagano also announced that starting linebacker Erik Walden is "week-to-week" because of a hip flexor injury suffered against the Steelers. The Colts (5-3) play the New York Giants (3-4) next Monday night.
