While the Buffalo Bills are tied for first place in the AFC East at 2-2, the optimism of a 2-0 start has quickly faded. A tie for first might normally be celebrated given Buffalo's recent history, but expectations are higher this season in Buffalo, especially after the team traded up to get Sammy Watkins in this May's draft, a move that implied urgency. Since that 2-0 start, of course, the Bills have scored just 27 points in back-to-back losses to the San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans, and as a result, they've benched second-year quarterback EJ Manuel in favor of veteran Kyle Orton. It's beenĀ just four weeks since Orton joined the team.
